Bluebell Wood Portrait Shoot
We had loads of fun doing our Bluebell Photo Shoot
From where we live in Hemel Hempstead, we are just around the corner from Bluebells woods in Ashridge. Some of you will know it as Dockey Wood. This amazing locations makes the best natural backdrop for a fun photo shoot. As a result we now go most years to do a photo shoot with our girls, as well as going with friends to get some amazing natural shots of them.
The Bluebells come out from late April into May and this year will be as great as last, by the looks of things.
What we loved about using this location was the fact that the girls were just running around having fun. They didn’t know we were going there to get photo’s, they just ran around chasing each other while I snapped away getting loads of great shots and capturing some amazing moments.
And when I say running around, I really mean running…. I think she was doing a million miles an hour, almost super hero speed (well that’s what she said)
My daughter did ask why are the called bluebells, when they are purple. I still have no answer to this great question – do you ??
lso a little exploring, and if you want to do some exploring of you own. You can find some more information at http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/ashridge-estate/
Most of you will know Ashridge Estate if you live locally, but now everyone knows Dockey Wood – Map
After a lot of running around we found a bench and the girls enjoyed a few hola hoops. It was a great fun way for them just to sit next to each other and have a snack. Also hola hoops are great fun when on your fingers. Well lets face it they still are great fun, even for big kids.
It really was a memorable day and one that we will treasure forever as a result of these unforgettable images and the amazing location of these Bluebells woods in Ashridge.
All in all, it really was an amazing day.
As a result I have booked a few photo-shoots for other parents and their kids.
